Over the past 10 years, more than 1,000 men, women, and children have died trying to cross the Sonoran desert in Arizona. As the death toll skyrocketed, people of faith began working together to prevent these desert deaths and to call attention to the border policies that contribute to them.

While immigration is an emotionally-charged issue usually defined in political and economic terms, “Beyond Borders” reveals the human side of this complicated situation.
